Cocktail Hour: Peach Sangria

Everybody loves a good cocktail! I found this refreshing recipe on Laurenconrad.com a website I like to visit regularly being a fan of Lauren and her teams posts. The drink looked delish so I just had to try it and sure enough, I wasn't disappointed!

Here is the recipe which serves enough for a jug:

Ingredients:
  • 1 bottle of white wine (any will do)
  • 1 cup peach schnapps
  • 1cup lemonade (more or less to your taste)
  • 2 sliced necterines
  • sliced grapes
Recipe:
  • Combine all ingredients in a large jug and chill in the fridge for atleast 2 hours or overnight. Stir and serve!

Scrumptious Sundae

One of my favourite treats is a sundae! I love the combination of flavours and textures such as warm gooey fudge chunky brownie and smooth cold ice cream. So when I discovered this delicious peanut butter fudge sundae by Nigella I was hooked! This sundae has it all and the fudge sauce goes  with every dessert! Even pancakes!

Ingredients:
  • 175 ml double cream
  • 100g chopped milk chocolate
  • 100g smooth peanut butter
  • 3x15ml tablespoons golden syrup
  • vanilla, toffee and chocolate icecream (you can just use one flavour if you prefer)
  • Peanuts salted and chopped for topping (optional)
Recipe:
  • Place the cream, chocolate, peanut butter and golden syrup into a saucepan and place on  the stove, heat to melt stirring gently. In 2 minutes the mixture should go gooey and fudgey, this means it's ready!
  • Scoop icecream into sundae glasses or a bowl.
  • Pour some of your sauce onto icecream and sprinkle with peanuts.
